Breast surgery
Breast augmentation, reduction, lifting and reconstruction. Reconstruction after a mastectomy is part of reconstructive surgery and can have a significant impact on the quality of life of patients.
Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery is a medical specialty that deals with the surgical correction of congenital, acquired, tumorous or involutional processes that require repairing or replacing structures that affect the body's shape or function. In its aesthetic aspect, it addresses alterations that, although not constituting a disease, can affect the patient's well-being. Within this field, there is both reparative and reconstructive surgery and aesthetic surgery.
Cosmetic Medicine encompasses medical treatments and minimally invasive procedures aimed at preventing, improving, or treating aesthetic disorders and maintaining health and well-being. Its approach is different from that of surgery: while Plastic Surgery relies on surgical procedures, Cosmetic Medicine focuses on non-surgical treatments and, in general, outpatient procedures.
An evaluation by the Plastic Surgery team allows us to study each case and guide the patient towards the most appropriate option.

Abdominoplasty, liposuction and other body reshaping procedures, especially in situations such as significant weight loss or changes produced after pregnancy.
Rhinoplasty, blepharoplasty, otoplasty, and other facial procedures intended to improve the appearance or correct certain functional abnormalities.
Treatment of scars, burns, reconstruction after skin tumors and other pathologies that affect the skin and soft tissues.
Cosmetic Medicine addresses aesthetic alterations and needs through medical treatments and procedures of minor intervention, with an individualized approach. It can address aspects related to the skin and skin aging, expression wrinkles, sagging, pigmentary alterations, scars, or certain facial asymmetries, among other situations contemplated within this field.
When the patient's objective or situation requires a surgical procedure, assessment allows for differentiating it from the options inherent in Aesthetic Medicine and guiding the most appropriate approach.
Plastic Surgery interventions are performed in the operating room and are accompanied by an anesthesiologist and an ICU available in case of possible complications, within the resources of the hospital environment.
The Plastic Surgery team is made up of Dr. Martín Revuelta Gómez, Dr. Germán Pastoriza Castillo and Dr. Borja Massot León, with a focus on providing availability and continuity of care.
